The Mail centre has a large
24 hour working canteen, which was depositing
large amounts of grease into the foul line
and which was continually leaking, causing
severe flooding and environmental problems.
On carrying out extensive
investigation of the existing drainage system,
it was decided that the only position (with
minimum disruption) to install the Interceptor,
was in the landscaped courtyard area next
to the kitchen positioned at the centre of
the building.
This meant that all plant,
materials and soil would have to be positioned
by utilising a 100T crane.
