The trench on the left...
...was dug by a two man crew using a digger and shovels in a day and a half. A 12” wide trench is a minimum for a hand-dug job, which causes unnecessary work, especially when all that is required is a narrow trench for an electric line and there is still always that risk of damage.
The trench on the right...
...was dug by a H20xx truck. The trench is only 4 inches wide, no more than is required
by the electric line. It took twenty minutes to dig, and practically eliminates the risk of damaging important undergound objects such as pre-existing power/phone lines or gas pipes.
